ECT (ASX:ESI) has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Transfield Services, a global provider of asset and project management and operations and maintenance services.
Negotiating with Transfield Services as the preferred provider of operations and maintenance services takes ECT one step closer to bringing the Coldry technology to market.
ECT holds the patents to Coldry, a process which removes 95 percent of water from raw brown coal to produce a fuel with an energy value equivalent to black coal, reducing the carbon footprint of the current brown coal processes.
ECT Chief Executive, Kos Galtos, said: “This MOU delivers on our strategy to form alliances with reputable companies that will aid in the efficient integration of our product into the brown coal market.”
“Transfield Services’ experience and presence in the resources and industrial sector and their ability to work in partnerships positions us well to deliver a clear understanding of the total cost of ownership of Coldry plants.”
