Shareholder Update

Environmental Clean Technologies Limited (ECT or Company) (ASX:ESI) is pleased to provide the following update to shareholders:

  • Submission of the Advanced Lignite Development Program application
  • Appointment of Managing Director
  • Appointment of Chair

ALDP Submission

The Directors of ECT advise that the submission for the Advanced Lignite Development Program was lodged by 2pm yesterday (Tuesday 19 March 2013). Following the short-listing of our Coldry Expression of Interest on 13 December 2012, the ECT team in conjunction with key partners Arup and McConnell Dowell have developed a comprehensive submission in support of the application for funding.

Board and Executive Changes

In preparation for the next phase of the development of Coldry, the Board wishes to advise a number of structural changes to the Board and Executive.

Effective April 2013, Mr. Michael Davies will cease to be the Managing Director and Executive Chairman and will continue to serve the company as Chairman.

Mr. Iain McEwin, Chair of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee said, “On behalf of fellow Directors, I wish to acknowledge the immense value of Michael’s contribution to ECT over the past 20 months. We are extremely pleased that Michael will remain as Chair of the Board and has that he will support the executive in the delivery of the next phase of Coldry commercialisation”

The Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Ashley Moore as Managing Director. Ashley was appointed to ECT in October 2009 and has served the company as Business Manager-Coldry and most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Director since August 2011. Chairman, Michael Davies said, “Ashley has dynamically managed the delivery of our ALDP submission and has developed an extraordinary knowledge of the technology. His experience as a senior executive throughout Asia coupled with his deep knowledge of Coldry will allow him to deliver the next phase of our strategy.”

Mr. Moore said “The completion of our ALDP submission results from the effort of an extremely talented and dedicated team. In particular, I wish to acknowledge our staff, as well as our key partners in Arup & McConnell Dowell for their exceptional contributions to our submission. In addition, I thank the Board for the opportunity to lead the executive team in the delivery of the next phase of our commercialisation efforts”
